Stay up-to-date on all the happenings in our listening area
Rockland Post 92 Veteran Outreach will be Thursday, May 1 from 12:00pm - 3:00 pm at the Rockland Community Building. All Veterans will receive a $20 gas card with many drawings and free lunch served. Many Veteran services will be on hand to help all veterans.
On Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 6:30 pm, An Evening of Poetry will be held in the front meeting room of the Ontonagon Township Memorial Building. Come to simply listen and enjoy. If you are feeling brave, share a poem (your own work or a favorite by someone else). All styles of poems are welcome: rhyming or free verse, humorous or serious, short or long. This event is meant to be very supportive and encouraging. An Evening of Poetry is free to attend and is open to all ages and abilities. If you have any questions, please contact the Ontonagon Township Library at 906-884-4411.










On Wednesday, March 19 at 6 pm, Bill Chabot will present “Unique American Holidays and Celebrations”. Bill’s humorous 30-minute presentation will cover the more obscure and absurd holidays we Americans love to celebrate. This event is free and open to all. Please join us at the Ontonagon Township Library on Wednesday, March 19 at 6 pm for this entertaining and captivating presentation. Please call the library at 906-884-4411 with any questions.

The dumpster is located between The Ontonagon Herald office and Peninsula Graphics on River Street in Ontonagon.
Money raised goes to help maintain
an animal shelter in Ontonagon County.
