The Y-101/TV6 Ontonagon County Canathon is going on through December 4th . Drop off locations include:

Y-101 Studios – Ontonagon
Merritt’s Travel Center  – Mass City  
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church – Mass City 
Settler’s Co-Op – Bruce Crossing  
Brambleberry – Ewen  
St. Vincent De Paul – Ontonagon 
Citizen’s State Bank – Ontonagon
Miner’s State  Bank – Ontonagon 
Konteka – White Pine 
Carp Lake Township Library – White Pine 
Ontonagon Township Library – Ontonagon

As drop off locations for the Ontonagon County Canathon, The Ontonagon Township Library is offering food for fines.  Bring in one non-perishable food item in exchange for library overdue fines.  Up to $1.00 forgiveness of fines per item.  No forgiveness of fees that are not late fines.   (Lost materials, collections fees, etc.) There is no limit on the number of items a person may bring in.  They cannot credit people’s accounts if they bring in more than they owe.

The Ontonagon Area School and the Ewen-Trout Creek School will also be collecting and participating in this year’s canathon.

All Food collected in Ontonagon County Stays in Ontonagon County.
The Food collected in the South End of the County goes to that Food Pantry.
The Food collected in White Pine will go to the newly formed Food Pantry at the United Methodist Community Church

Drop off a bag of non-parishable food items to the Y-101 studio (622 River Street, Ontonagon) during regular business hours, through December 4th, pick a CD from Jackie’s prize bag and register for one of the many prizes that we’ll give away on December 8th on the Jan Tucker Show.  All prizes, once again valued under one million dollars…..
